Heeyyy Coffee lovers, you must all be familiar with the currently one of the most talked about cafe in town – LUCKY CAT COFFEE & KITCHEN!
I genuinely loovee the ambiance of this place! It was decorated almost like an indoor garden. There was a big tree growing through the building, and they decided to not chop it down but build the cafe around that tree as well! Very unique and refreshing!
Those staircase is Lucky Cat’s signature spot for anyone who love to take OOTD pictures. It was PACKED FULL the day I came, and everyone seemed to be ‘lining up’ and take turns to take pictures on that spot! (Including myself, but let us save my narcissistic pictures for another post 😉 )
This was honestly one of the biggest cafe I’ve ever visited. It have 2 floors, and the view from the 2nd floor was absolutely lovely as well.
Flat White Coffee – IDR40,000++
I like the flat white served over lucky cat coffee, mainly because it was so milky and I am not a person who like her coffee to be too strong.
Their coffee gives off a bitter after-taste, which is nice because I love bitter compared to sour after-taste.
Lychee Tea – IDR35,000++
Mushroom and Avocado on Toast – IDR55,000++
I had Mushroom and Avocado just a few days before visiting Lucky Cat, and I was quite disappointed at that time. However, I am honestly impressed with Lucky Cat’s Mushroom & Avocado on Toast! Not only it looks good, it tastes good too!
These are toast with seasonal and cooked raw mushroom, feta cheese, poached egg, avocado, mushroom powder, and feta cheese. They put the right (and generous amount too!) balance of raw and cooked mushroom, so it doesn’t taste too bland nor too salty and oily either.
The toast was lovely – fragrant and savory, the avocado was not mashed but sliced, which really preserve its taste and doesn’t make it too mushy. My only complaint would be the tiny and not runny poached eggs, otherwise this dish was very nice – healthy and delicious!
Pan Seared Salmon – IDR79,000++
I didn’t expect too much out of their pan seared salmon, but it really exceeded my expectations once again. The piece of Salmon served was quite generous considering the price. The baby potatoes was sauteed and tasted decent (often times baby potatoes came out too bland because it was sauteed in whole and too thick to be marinated well). The cream spinach was very nice and savory, wasn’t too creamy so it’s not overwhelming.
Looks good isn’t it? I am craving for it as I am looking at it right now TT.TT
Since I’ve heard quite a lot of positive reviews on their cheesecake, as an avid cheesecake lover, I wouldn’t miss this for the world.
The presentation was a bit messy, but I guess there is beauty in every imperfection, isn’t there?
The cheesecake was not bad, but it was geared towards the milky rather than cheesy side, thus it’s a bit softer and moister than your usually thick and dense cheesecake.
Lucky Cat also provide you with free infused lemon water. It’s a simple gesture yet it provide a charm on its own.
I really recommend this place to all coffee or cafe lover. Lucky Cat is open 24/7, it’s quite rare to find a cafe with open hours such as this one.
Fashion addicts would definitely love taking picture on every nook and cranny of this place. Fellow foodies would find plenty of instagrammable place with great lighting to take a shot of their meal. What’s more, the food was delicious with the right portion, price, and beautiful plating!
