The Spoke Bistro is located side-by-side (in fact, it’s connected!) with a Bike Shop. It’s right across Living World Alam Sutera, you just have to drive right through the United Bike building and there’s a large signage to the restaurant.
The area was quite spacious, I think it could easily accommodate more than 50 people inside. Upon entering, you would be welcomed with red brick walls, rustic furniture, a place that exudes a sense of ‘comfort at home’.
They also have a small outdoor area with sidewalks – A perfect spot to take group pictures or OOTD shots!
The Spoke Bistro serves a variety of both international and local delicacies, so you could easily choose your pick depending on your mood for the day!
Escargots – IDR45,000++
I’ve not eaten a lot of escargots all my life, but this wasn’t all that bad. It’s quite fragrant from the butter & garlic. I would only suggest to tone down the butter a bit to make it less oily.
What’s more, it was so pretty too! Photogenic from every angle with such beautiful refreshing colors!
The Jakarta Special – IDR60,000++
The Spoke Bistro serves thin pizza. I am not a big fan of hin pizza myself, bu his paricular one was quite tasty. The pizza dough wasn’t too thin (that makes it feels like dried paper) and the topping was quite generous too.
Once again, the presentation was beautiful as well. Such a feast to both the eyes and the taste buds!
Gnocchi al Pomodoro – IDR42,000
It looks so appetizing and smells so fragrant when it first came! It was a delicious gnocchi dish indeed! Gnocchi are thick, soft dough dumplings mainly made wih wheat flour, eggs, cheese, and potatoes. Some Gnocchi tastes too ‘floury’ (too much flour), but this one tastes handmade and have a very nice balance between flour and potatoes!
The tomatoes was also perfectly balanced – not too sour, not too sweet, and not too salty. Yet the smell of tomatoes really brings out the ‘character’ of the dish. I would love it even more if they could add more mozzarella cheese on top!
Triple chocolate tart – IDR35,000++
These are “tarts with a layer of coffee bake custard, white chocolate ganache, and light chocolate mousse“. Well, at least that is what was described in the menu. However, I can’t really taste any of the given ingredient at all.. It just tastes like a normal chocolate tart. However, I do have to admit that the filling was soft and yummy! It’s still ‘OK’, but I was anticipating a whole lot more than this.
Shaped in 3 (super) mini semi-circles, the portion size wasn’t too big. I was really hoping to a larger-sized chocolate tart to have a good share of dessert for myself at that time.
Overall I thought that all the food served was quite delicious. Although the chocolate tar was a bit under my expectation, I tried their other dessert – cheesecake, and it was DELICIOUS! The price was quite reasonable given the great ambiance and portion size hey gave us. Recommended for gathering, bridal shower, small parties, or any other occassion you might think of!
