I was happy to be invited by pergikuliner and Southquarter’s management team to come and visit Southquarter and try a variety of restaurant food choices they offer.
Southquarter is located at Jl. RA Kartini, Lebak Bulus, Jakarta. They have several towers catering to the office tenants, apartments (soon to open), and the middle tower for supermarkets and various restaurants. They also have a kind of ‘common area’ where it is like an open-space balcony/roof-top. It’s quite relaxing to just walk around and view the scenery.
Let’s cut to the chase – I was invited to dine at Mokka Coffee Cabana, a coffee shop at South Quarter famous for their catpuccino! Turns out they are revamping their concept and trying to create ‘heavier’ main course for the people. Now you can get good coffee and good food over at Mokka Coffee Cabana!
Catpuccino – IDR39,000++
These were the cutest cup of coffee I’ve ever had! The Catpuccino by Mokka Coffee Cabana has been one of their specials with their signature cat seen floating and lounging on top of their delicious coffee!
Bond – IDR38,000++
The ‘Bond’ is a double ristretto with cold full-cream milk and ice. It’s very similar to latte, but has an even stronger taste of coffee. I loved it because it was strong yet soft at the same time!
Dirty Chocolate – IDR39,000++
It’s a new menu to welcome the season. The Dirty Chocolate provides maximum chocoate indulgence for any chocolate lovers out there! There was a slight crunchy texture on every sip – a surefire way to tempt you in trying one of these!
Manual Brew Coffee
They also serve manual brew coffee! Their manual brew coffee produces a slight fruity fragrant and taste.
Thai Ice Tea – 37,500++
This is a little bit out of context but you should definitely try their Thai ice tea! i can assure you it taste almost similar to the ones I tried in Bangkok myself! The Thai ice tea was thick and dense, sweet with a mild bitter and string scent of tea alongside. It’s unique presentation adds plus points too!
Another favorite amongst their coffee drinks! The Kilimanjaro provides a much bolder coffee taste without overdoing it. The bitter aftertaste that slowly melts in your mouth is a very addicting sensation indeed!
Mokka Burger – IDR55,00++
It’s a very tempting-looking burger tower if I say so myself, yet I was a bit disappointed because the patty wasn’t as meaty and juicy as I thought it would be.
Caesar Salad – IDR40,000++
Cabana Salad – IDR40,000++
I absolutely adores their Cabana Salad! Why? Because first of all, the Cabana salad uses a special Cabana dressing, which means I can only find it here at Mokka Coffee Cabana. Secondly, their Cabana dressing was very refreshing! It’s a citrus dressing that is sweet yet savory at the same time. It isn’t the creamy dressing like your normal mayo or cheese, so it doesn’t add up too much calories too. Delicious and healthy at the same time!
Pesto – IDR60,000++
Their Pesto Pasta is the star of all their main course! They were able to create a rich and creamy pesto, without overdoing it and making you nauseous. Everything was perfectly balanced!
Oxtail Fried Rice – IDR55,000++
Their fried rice was good too! The oxtail was soft and easy to chew, their fried rice was savory and wasn’t too hard nor too soft.
Overall I truly think that Mokka Coffee Cabana offers a wide variety of both beverage and main course at a fair price and taste. They are able to serve you various coffee that is similar yet distinct at the same time. I myself am not an avid coffee fan, but I could most definitely distinguish the different taste of their coffee combination. A very good place to spend your time with your colleagues or family & friends, or you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee over here!
