A fairly new brunch place was opened at Kemang area. I saw a glimpse of some really delicious foodie pictures in social media and I can’t bear not visiting this place!
It was such a pleasant surprise when I entered the place. It was quite big and spacious, especially when comparing it to the normal cafe sizes around Kemang area. It’s almost the size of the lobby of a small hotel!
The decor was scarce but its simple, modern, and minimalist nature became its most alluring point.
One of the reason I visited this place was after looking it their super cute coffee presentation! They put chocolate sprinkles in the mouth of the coffee cup. Drinking the coffee while having a mild taste of chocolate was the best indeed.
Oh! They also gave you a special 10% discount and free Rainbow sprinkles (pretty much the same – except that they use rainbow instead of chocolate sprinkles).
I liked their coffee. It’s the type that have a faint bitter aftertaste that slowly melt away inside your mouth.
Aussie – IDR127,000++
As a huge brunch food fan, I can’t stand not ordering one of their brunch menus. They serve lots of difference brunch food style – Aussie, Texan, Indian, Spanish, Indonesian, Moroccan, French, even Vegetarian! The waitress suggest that one of their recommended brunch menu was ‘Aussie’, so I decided to order this one.
Without a doubt, it was one of the most beautiful, colorful, and largest Brunch I’ve ever had! It’s DEFINITELY very healthy as they have a mix of protein, fats, carbs, and fiber of all different colors in one plate!
Basically it’s eggs benedict served with hollandaise sauce, cream cheese, capers, smoked salmon and snappers, with avocado, roasted beets, alfalfa sprouts, and pomegranate on the side.
The poached eggs were ON POINT and the Hollandaise sauce was super creamy. It was the first time for me having Eggs Benedict with pomegranate and beets, but it was quite delicious as it turns out! My only complaint was the smoked snapper smells a bit fishy, but they nailed the smoked salmon and pretty much EVERYTHING on this plate so I could let it pass this time 😉
Tagine style Lamb – IDR155,000++
A friend of mine ordered this one. I was quite reluctant at first because I’ve never been a fan of Lamb meat, because as y’all know, when not cooked properly, lamb could have quite an unpleasant odor I did not like.
As it turns out, it was DELICIOUS! The lamb was cooked perfectly, its portion was quite generous, it’s well marinated, and very soft and tender on its insides!
The sauce wasn’t too strong so that it doesn’t mask the beautiful flavors of the lamb. The couscous on the sides was also nice and fluffy. It’s definitely a dish not to miss!
Overall I LOVED this place! The dining area was spacious and wasn’t to crowded, service was friendly with reasonable waiting time, and most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS! It’s in the mid-high price range, but it’s still quite reasonable comparing to other cafe in the area.
In addition, they have generous servings and good quality ingredients to serve, so I definitely feel satisfied with what I am paying vs what was served.
It’s definitely one of my go-to brunch place in Kemang area, and I think it’s also good for casual business meeting, hanging out with friends, or even small events like bridal shower and baby shower!
